LIST PROGRAMME

Standing for Language & Integration Skills Training, the LIST programme is a scheme that was created to specifically work in tandem with the UK Settlement Scheme. The LIST programme supports refugees to improve their language skills and develop the skills to enable them to live independently and play a full part in their local community. Language for day-to-day living and integration is at the heart of what the LIST programme is.

A key part of the LIST programme is that it is also psychologically informed. Learners are given a safe space to unpack their hopes and fears and talk them through, without fear of judgement. A learner said 'At Concept Training, I feel safe and valued for who I am, and have always been made to feel welcome'.

We currently run classes for varying degrees of ability, classes delivered via Zoom that are specifically aimed at learners who are unable to access the centre, classes for women, and classes for young adults. We also deliver specialised training including the Level 1 Health & Safety and CSCS test preparation and English for Driving Theory.
